Leilane holds a Bachelor’s degree in Law from the State University of Minas Gerais (UEMG), and a Specialization in Labor Law and Procedure from Cândido Mendes University (UCAM/RJ).

She also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Human Sciences from the Federal University of the Jequitinhonha and Mucuri Valleys (UFVJM), and a Specialization in Criminal Law and Criminology from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio Grande do Sul (PUC/RS)
